Venezia 18 March

Food photos from my giro in Venezia on Friday.

On Friday I went to Venezia with Antonia... she goes four days a week for school. She's earning a degree in international studies--German, Russian, and Theater Arts. We drove to Monselice, took the train to Venezia, and walked to her school. I had about 5 hours on my own to walk around the city-- Accademia, San Marco, Rialto, Chiesa San Rocco, and back to the Stazione Ferroviaria Santa Lucia and back home.
Caffe' Belle Arti for an espresso
Marzipan... love the goldfish!

Well, not exactly food, but the fashion looks like confections!

Delicious lunch possibilities

Hmm... if I didn't already have too many coffee accessories I'd be tempted...

One of many shops

The citrus is all from Siclia

Delivering frozen food

The gelato delivery--very important!

Winter vegetables

Artichoke hearts--the Italian version of fast food:)

Paring artichokes down to the hearts--the stands are full of artichokes this time of year
